Title: How to distinguish one Mk 4 GTI from another!
Post by: fuglestad on 13 April 2006, 13:22
Hi there im new to this forum and am curious about the various mk golf GTi models, as i am considering buying one.

I used to think that the mk4's were badged as follows:

GTI all silver = 2.0 litre 115bhp 0-60 10.2 seconds

GTI (the I being red) 1.8T 150 bhp 0-60 7.8 seconds

GT TDI = being the various diesel models.

Now ive been told that this is not necessarily true as there is a 125bhp version and also some of the all silver badges are not 115bhp 2.0 litre versions.

Can someone shed some light on this for me in a simplistic way!!

Many thanks,

Fuglestad

(Great site by the way)
