Hi I'm thinking bout puttin a vr6 in my mk2. Its already been transferred in2 a golf so will just (hopefully) slip it in2 my car.

Has anyone done this b4 or heard of anyone who's done it??

VR6 into a mk2 is a common conversion, will cost you a few grand.

as the lump is so heavy it can make the nose "tramline" a little.

Nothing against VR6's it's just the 20v is just better buck for bang.

ello golfgal, you got a bargin there a vr6 mk2 for 1500quid!! is it a wrecker??? must be for that money!, whats the damage????, is there any other good bits on the car once youve finished with the engine etc??? :P

I have to agree with that. A fellow I work with just sold his a few months ago. Very heavy front on that car. Looks the nuts though!

The most hassle part of any engine conversion is getting the engine wiring sorted out, you need to find out if it has been done properly or whether or not your gonna have to sort it out yourself.

TSR and most of the other tuners sell a wiring loom pre made that plugs into the existing fuse box and makes it a piece of piss to do.

Lets us now how you get on.

So your replacing the engine, brakes, suspension and gearbox?

... why not just buy a VR6? ... get the nice interior...
