will the rear bench from a 5 door golf gti fit into a 3 door golf gti? with no modifacations? does anyone know. cheers

If they are from a mk3 they should be the same dimensions .

yes both a mk3 but the only prob i got now is the titl forward mechanism, the 5 dr doesn't have it. any ideas of a way around it apart from not take more than 1 passenger.

nothing you can do about that dude just dont carry passengers and keep your two seats so you can put them back in for mot else it will fail!
-
see your other thread dude...

I think you can buy tilting subframes from somewhere. Alternatively, I have a friend that bought a set of recaros from a 5 door and to fit them in his 3dr he simply pulled the foam and material of the seats and put it onto a seat frame/mecahnism from a pair of old tilting seats and then cut around the levers. Worked very well, didn't take long and looks factory, so good in fact that i'm about to do it myself!

I thought your question was just about the fitting of the rear bench seat?
