Title: What can i use???

In the middle of sorting a leaky heater matrix, got all the bits out of the car, trouble is, in the air distribution box, there are the movable panels, these clearly used to have foam on them which has now rotted away.

What foam can i replace this with, does it even have to be foam, can i just stick some ally plates on these flaps??

Luckily despite having most of the lower dash and centre console in the boot, i can still drive the car, cos i've blocked the holes in the bulkhead for now, just need to sort the foam problem out then i can get the car back toghether.

the foam is there to from a seal and ally plate would be noisy. go to a haberdashery or something and pick up some foam. will be very cheap.

some peeps have used duct tape whiuch apparently works well :)
