im looking for the early CL Spats!
mine is 89 and came with the phatter ones.
they are like a thin shaped bit of plastic that run down one side of the wheel arch.
as shown below:

tah ill have a look. i can get em from the main dealer but i dunno how much they will charge. i think its sumthing like ?150 for every square cm of plastic moulding or sumthing. 8)

i tried taking sum off a car at tescos i was that desperate and i got a rasta drug dealer runnin after me. i offerd him a fiver for em and he told me to f**k off

i got hold of the smaller spats today
they dont fit! the pusher in bits of plastic arnt in the right places!
dam it. i was sure i could fit em to my car!
anything u can think of to do? could i mabey snap off the plastic pushin bits and sumhow glue it on? if i did this i would want an adhesive that allows u to get them back off without messin up the paint work.
or mabey i just have to stick to the gay big ones.

I agree this is the same person who was talking about how to steal a Golf or Jetta and then said if anyone were to ever rob me they'd get a 9mm Gat pulled on them.
You know what Rider, You seem to have an honest and true love for the VW's. Why not concentrate on that and drop all the ghetto gangsta sh!t. I don't see where anyone thinks it's "cool" or thinks you are tough over it. I hate to call you out like this in a public place but talking about stealing peoples stuff is bullsh!t. Read some other posts. no one likes a crook. :)

Twockers r sh!te.but they r even worse when they r Golf owners n on this forum!U try n take my car n i will personally rip ur balls off n make ur mother eat them!I don't like twockers n proper vws don't steal off other vw's!U hav been warned! :( >:(

look....
i was only messin about to try and make people laugh because some of the convos were getting boring.
the only reason i no how to break into these cars is because i had a jetta that had no keys and it had an alarm. so i had to disable the alarm and start it by hotwiring it. i dont go around stealing cars!
and as for the spats that was another joke. Just trying to liven things up a bit. i bought the spats legitametly actualy. its jsut me and my mate used to joke about stealin the spats everytime we saw a car with them go past because i was getting so desperate to find some!
At the end of the day i am 18. fair enough u lot might think i am imature but its the way it is. i love VWs i would never steel from one or any other car for that matter. as a matter of fact instead of steeling little things like "spats" i goto scrappys for hours on end trying to find them and then pay ridiculous prices to get em, because they try and rip me off because of my age.

I don't have hard feelings toward you mate. I was 18 once as well. I did things that I am not proud of and got caught a time or 2 learned my lesson. Just watch talking it on the boards. People tend to get irritated about it (myself included). :)
