What tyres  did VW  fit to...
The old bbs cross spokes???Was it dunlops,i know they were 185/14/60's.
Would 195/14 60's make much difference to the ride quality?Ive got 195/15/50's on steels, but as the car is lowered 40-50mm the ride is quite harsh..
Any reply's muchos apprecaitos

the bigger the sidewall the softer the ride will be, but this also increases tyre wall flex when turning

the sidewall is measured as a ratio to the width

185/60 = 60% of 185mm
195/50 = 50% of 195mm etc

its a case of finding a happy medium

Probably Michelin MXV2 in 185/60/14 in the case of the 14" rims and sometimes Continental Sport Contacts in 185/55/15 (for the 15" Corrado 16v rims anyway)
