Title: Bonnet lifters
Post by: Si on 06 April 2006, 12:58
Hi guys, with summer coming up im re-fitting my K&N filter on the Driver, but i want to do sumthing different that ive never seen on a Golf before... I want to fit lifters on the back of the Bonnet, we did it to my mates Escort Turbs and i think it looks pretty cool....(http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/SimonABT/DSC01649.jpg)

What do you think?
I reckon it would allow airflow around my airfilter easier but dont know if it will look cack?

Im not a fan really. Looks like the bonnet isnt shut properly. Theres a lad i know who did it to his mk2 cos he couldent clear the pipework on his 20vT conversion.

Yeh i would have to say unless you were actually doing it for a purpose (like clearance issues) don't bother!

Its like the guy with the 1.4 Corsa and GTI-R bonnet scoop in my home town- WHY? I just wonder what he thinks that poor little engine is going to do with all that extra air!

Mind you that is just my bland opinion!
