?40 for shocks & springs is a bargain

G-max (formally known as Jamex) are budget middle of the road setups.

id take it myself

yeh, just been looking at some info on them, cost around the 200 quid mark

i think ill go for it at that price,
its a 60mm drop, will that be ok on standard size wheels (185/60  14)?

ive got g max on mine, when i first had them fitted it was such a harsh ride and felt unstable, had tracking and camber adjusted, and abt a week later it softened up. its the only lowering kit ive had so i cant say how good it is but worth a try for 40 quid id say

i put a  g-max suspension kit on my 8v gti with 15,s it still has loads of clearance and it was supposed to be a 55mm drop! it looks good, no roll on corners and a piece of piss to fit, i,ve never had any thing lowered before and was a bit reluctant to drop 55mm,but i wanted to go as low as poss without having my arches rolled,i,m very pleased with the results and glad i did ,nt go for 35mm drop because you would,nt be able to tell,i would definately get them for 40 qiud its a bargain!

?40 is a bit of a bargain and you would pay that to get a decent rear shock and you should always as you know replace them in pairs. Put it on and see if you like the way it rides, you might find it to your taste. if not save up for something you like and sell the kit on ebay  for profit.

Either way your made up.

if the kit is designed for a GTi then you may find it will sit a bit higher because your engine won't be as heavy.

won't make too much of a difference though.
