Help me! I was trying to replace my dash last night, when I put everything back together the indicators would not work  The LED light would come on solidly on the dash console, and there's no light on the indicators themselves.
As far as I can tell everything is now connected again. The indicator stalk got bent a bit as I didn't take the steering wheel off, would that have anything to do with it? Also, while I think of it, anyone know what size is the nut that holds on the steering wheel?
Thanks

steering wheel nut is a 22 or 24mm i believe, when i had this problem(only on 1 side of the car though)i changed the stalk and all was ok again, r u sure the hazard light isnt jammed half down or something, also check the wiring to the stalks to just for piece of mind, have u checked fuses too?? im clutching at straws here now but hope some of this is some help

It might be worth checking the indicator relay on the fuse board.
I can't remember which number it is - have a look on the back of the panel that covers the fuses, as it should say on there. I had bit of a leak and the water would run down onto the indicator relay and short it, leaving me with no indicators and a constant led on the dash. Although i'm not sure whether the indicators were constantly on or not when the switch was flicked sorry.

Looked again last night and I noticed that when the indicators are switched on the fog light comes on on the dash. Does this give any clues. Was told it might be be an earth problem, does that sound possible?
Checked the fuses last night, the one for the indicators was broke, replaced it but no difference, the new one is still ok though.

If its a late MK2 with the hazard switch on the column, try wiggling it about whilst switching the indicators. If its an early one swap the hazard switch :)

Don't happen to have a spare one do you rj?

I dont have a 90 spec hazard stalk, but I think I do have a couple of early hazard switches :)
