Title: wiper delays
Post by: inthecity77 on 03 April 2006, 14:55
on my car mk3 8v L-plate, i cant figure out the wiper settings! :)
when i push the stalk up it does the wipers once, thats cool
when i push it down it sets them going constantly slow.
there is a switch on the stalk which says 0-1-2-0.
i presume this is to vary the speed
it doesnt tho
is this a delay switch thing problem?
if so, how do i change the thing?

Click the stalk down and back up so the wipers do their thing, then when u want them to wipe again, push down and leave it there, and the delay should be set

That controls the MFA . 1 is for a short journey [it resets after a couple of hours] , 2 is for total distance . The zeroes on either side are to reset the data .
