Hi everyone
i would just like to no if it would be straight forward to drop a 2.0 8v in to my 1.4cl.
ive broke my 4spd g/box so i thought i might aswell change the engine iswell.
looking forward from hearing from you guys

not too difficult as it's still a mk3 but you'd have to change the ecu, loom, gearbox, clocks etc.
Might also be a good idea to upgrade the brakes!

DON'T DO IT.
don't waste money building a car that you can buy.
If you change your car into a fake gti your insurance will be a nightmare too.

would the gti gearbox fit my 1.4?

nope. sorry dude. best bet is to fix it with what you need, scappy should sell you a box for about 50 sheets, then bung it on ebay and get a gti.... :smiley:
