well the feedback is pretty good but more often than not most people are scared to give a negative feedback in case they get one in return..  i, however have lots of bad feedback as im not afraid to complain.  this then earns ME a bad feedback in return..

my experience always tells me you get what you pay for, i wouldn't wanna put something that cost £20, and has a sticker that i could have made on it in my ecu..........

not that i have an ecu, my car is carbed

Wait until they leave feedback for you before leaving it for them ;)

And he's a powerseller so I can't see it been a 15p resistor to make your car think the air is cold. maybe worth a try may well blow your car up, look at his feedback click an item number for the chip see what the feedback he has had says?

or go one step further and ask the other buyers of the same item what they really think

I had a similar thing in my car briefly and it made things bad!  But after talking with the seller we came to the conclusion that as it was mapped on the Bosch ecu wheras mine was TA, sold it to another guy on here and as far as i know he is still getting good results from it.

The one listed seems to have been tested on all types of ecu so should be fine for whatever yours is.  The chip is a replacement for your standard fuelling map and not a cheap resistor.

For £20 you are not going to get the claimed 6bhp on the ad's for these things but you might get a more responsive car..?  :undecided:

Isn't there a chap off here who does a chip? I keep meaning to buy one off him, but I have no idea how to fit it...and I'm not about to 'have a go' myself with something thats so crucial to how the car runs.

Adding a generic (i.e. fixed value chip thingie) is a dangerous game. It seems to be so hit and miss....sometimes it misses by a lot and actually makes things worse.

In the back of PVW and Golf+ you can get a custom re-map for your car for £200, that'll make it run like a peach - all the time, every time.

For the difference that is barley noticeable, I don't know if I'd personally bother. My engine alone cost £2500 so I don't know if I'd trust a £20 eBay wonder.
