Title: Helios Paint Tip
Post by: The Hoax on 01 April 2006, 20:14
About 6 months ago I got a new sill fitted to my Helios blue Campaign. I asked the guy to prime, stone chip and paint both sills. After a few weeks, I could see slight surface rusting to the new sill. It looks as though it has had a lick of stone chip and colour coat but no primer - cowboy job!

Anyway I decided to try blue Hammerite to give it a bit of protection and it turned out too light so I added some black Smoothrite and at a mixture of about 1:6 you get a pretty good match for Helios. Certainly good enough for sills, bottom of back panel, valence etc
