there is a black mk1 and a black mk3 sat in a pub car park at the bottom of my road and neither of them have moved in months from what i can tell. I wish i had a garage and a bit of spare cash. The mk1 looks solid enough but the paint is a bit messy.

Another mature and insightful post by the man who throws his toys out of the cot if i dare to state my opinion on a car and tells me to "Grow up" despite having nothing better to do than look for my posts then reply with a poorly thought out attempt at an insult
If you have a problem with me, send me a pm and discuss it like an adult rather than just spamming the forums with childish posts whilst at the same time telling me i have to "Grow up".

My 2nd Mk1 was a 83 1.8 GTi i had if for about 3 years and after buying a few other projects i eventually sold it to a mate of a mate.
A few years later i found it in a street in Edinburgh with a Police aware sticker on it. After getting in touch with the guy i sold it to he told me it had broken down and wouldn't drive and that it was still in my name with a few outstanding parking tickets. He was just going to let the police take it away and settle the parking tickets with me, i said that i would take it back from him for the price of the parking tickets to which he agreed.
After getting my uncles recovery truck and taking it back to the garage found that the gear shaft selector had broken, 10 Min's and after robbing a selector from a spare Mk1 the car was back on the road . Eventually got the parking tickets reduced to £60
I bought the car originally, when i was 18, for £100 from my another uncle who owned a scrap yard sold it for £2500 and bought it back for the price of the parking tickets (£60).... Gotta be a good deal...... :nerd:
