Title: boot lock on Mk3's

the boot look on my mk 3 seems to have broken, the button seems to stay in, but i can pull it out again, ... ithink the spring may have broke ??? anyone any ideas on how easy this is to fix or how much it might cost me?

unbolt it and replace with another?

take the existing one apart to fix?

12 quid for a new part from eurocarparts?
