Afternoon all, it seems my rad fan is no longer functioning and thus overheating occurs when the car is stood in traffic etc...
i have checked the connections along with fuse and all is ok there, what other possible causes could it be ? and what would be the solutions etc..
thanks

Try shorting out the switch, if the fan turns, the switch is kapoot. £9 odd from GSF - billy bonus!!
Just mind the old pinkies, as the fan hitting your finger at high speed will take it off!!

Yes, just to clarify, if you look down at your rad from the front of the car you will see a sensor in the battom right. Unplug the lead from this and bridge the 2 pins in the plug. This should start the fan. If it does then its just the sensor that needs replacing. If not then you need to test the fan motor. Run 2 wires direct from the battery to the fan motor to this. If this works then your wiring has a problem. Check and clean all connectors.

I know which parts you are on about and i know where they are located. Please can you explain the term "bridge" to me or just instructions on how to ...

take the plug off the temp sender in the rad, and run a piece of wire across the pins :)
