Title: Bike rack on a mk2

I was just wondering if anyone on here uses a hatch mounted bike rack on their mk2, gti in particular.

The reason being i can imagine that the securing straps that fit onto the top of the hatch would pull the spoiler down leading to it cracking, and so don't want to buy one and find out the hard way. But... i would rather have a hatch mounted one than a roof rack!

So basically, if anyone uses a hatch mounted rack do you have any problems, and what model do you have?

I have a rack, from HellFrauds, the basic jobber. It fitted just fine on my old mk2, and now it's fine on the mk3 too. Similar shapes I reckon. The strap goes way away from the spoiler, no probs...

yeah i got a halfrauds one and it doesnt touch the spoiler i had no bother just dont use your rear wiper lol

Ahh that's ok then, just didn't want to get one then find it cracks my spoiler or rips it off!
