Title: 1.3 mk1 engine mount relocation

hi guys is there any chance of any pictures or tips on how to fit a 1.8 mk2 card engine in a 1.3 mk1
i know the engine mounts need to be changed but i need to know where they shoud be located in the engine bay
any help would be great

I did this coversion many years ago... al hunt out some pics....

Only needs one mount changed drop out the old engine pop in the new one secure the first two mounts and mark out the 3rd, Remove the engine again weld the mount then refit the new engine again. Thats the way i did it be be on the safe side,

mint!! i thought it was a real arse of a job it don't sound too bad !
do you know which engine mounts gotta be moved ?
can a use the old one that i cut off of is it best to get a Mk2 mounting point (i have a Mk2 shell) and graft it on?

Its the Driver side mount., you need to cut it off, invert it 180 degrees and weld back onto teh chassis leg.  Theres a notch in the mount that lines up with a crease in the chassis leg itself  :smiley:.

Ask Mk1_Driver (James) on CGTI, hes got pics as he did small to large block conversion on his :)
