Sorry if this is a particularly dumb girlie question..... but current weather conditions make the inside of my gti particularly uncomfortable. Windows drip with condensation.... when i have the fan on full blast facing the windscreen I still can't see out of the other windows. Since I also managed to knock off the rear view mirror yesterday whilst wiping the windscreen it's getting a tad scarey driving it. What do I need to do to sort this out?

air conditioning.... :P

Sounds like you have too much moisture in the car. Have you had a spillage recently? Maybe you have rain-water getting in? Or worse, your heater matrix may be leaking, are you losing coolant?
-
if you have one turn off the re-circulate button once you have the heat up, it re-pumps moisture from your breath around the car.
what i do..
get in, turn on full heat directed at windscreen with re-circulate on, driver+passenger window down then up to clear, drive off.. then once the cars starting to get warmed up turn off the recirculate or it'll start to steam up, then back off the heat once its comfy :)

........dont buy the anti-steam stuff produced by the same guys that make rain-x (the stuff you put on the outside of your screen)
All it did was gather the moisture into streaks and dropplets, so save your money on that one peeps.
Also I reckon theres been more moisture on the screens because its been pissing down recently and you get into the car with your wet coats and umbrellas. :)

I had the problem of a very steamed up car on these chilly mornings. I've taken to leaving my sunroof open a tiny little bit, just a crack. This allows all the moisture in the car when I leave it at night to escape. Obviously, I've just let everyone know my car ain't got an alarm!! Hey, but it works for me. ;D

Pimpster got it in 1 !!!! Air Con! ooh feel the luxury . . never be without it me! My cars got it and for sale soon you lucky punters! ;D

many thanks for the help.
On further investigation I have discovered a swimming pool in the front and rear passenger footwells.... (i know, I know... can't believe I didn't spot it before, but I AM a girl)
I read somewhere within the forum that the drip tray was mentioned as a possible culprit and think that may well be a good starting point (and cheap). BUT I can't find 'drip trays' on any on-line shops do they have some other technical name?
once again thanks for the help
