Title: Fitting chrome handles????

i know this is probably a much talked about post, but i cant find any others on here...i have looked....

my question is, how are these handles 'modified' to fit mk1's???

 :undecided: It sounds like he's talking about changing the pins to fit your existing key

They shouldn't need any modifying to fit, but as theres no keys in the picture maybe he doesn't have any so you'll probably have to change the pins - quite an easy job if a little fiddly  :wink:

ahhh, ive changed lock barrels b4 , they are quite easy, but 'modifiying the handle' sort of threw me.

hi, you only need to swap the trigger mech if you are fitting delocked rear handles as these have a different set up to the fronts! as the ones there are fronts they should fit fine! i got the rear type and had to swap it all over to work!  :smiley:

thanks for the help guys, BUT, i just missed out on the handles....by a £1...Doh! :sad:

i'll keep my eyes out for another set..

you guys goin to the spring festival??? i might pop my cherry at it this year!

would i have any luck at the shows with trying to source parts?? mainly old skool stuff really.  :undecided:

what do you rekon??

I have always gone to GTI Festival in search of parts, and never come away empty handed,
the auto jumble is the best part for me :smiley:  the prices are rock bottom as well :grin:
