hi everybody ive had my golf gti mk4 180 6 speed 2003 (not anniversary)for about a month now and i love it im wondering about fitting a stainless exhaust system to it but need some advice what exhaust would you recommend and do i need to fit a 4motion rear valance and if so are they a hassle to fit and does anyone know ruffly how much they cost thanks for your time joe

Im pretty sure most manufacturers of exhausts will list them with the 4 motion valance fitted. Miltek do one have a look online for prices. The rear valances pop up on ebay now and again and just clip in once you remove your existing valance.

Milltek's the brand to go for..... They do one in 4 motion style (twin exit - need 4M valance), Anniversary style (single exit - need Anni valance), R32 style (single exit either side of the car - need R32 bumper) & OE 1.8T (diesel ) style - no valance required.
I'm going the 4M route, myself (when funds allow). I've just purchased a new OE valance for £20.

thanks for the advice chaps its been very useful cheers

ive heard the 4motion valance is about £40 from the stealers i just cut mine out with a hacksaw blade as ive also heard the towing eye is in a different place on the 4 motion so you will have an empty cutout

my exhaust pipes are a little bit too big to fit in the 4mo valance so i too just cut the orginal valance lol

The 4 mo valance is £38 from the stealers(part number 1J6 807 521 C i believe) and yes the 4 mo towing eye is in a different place, does not really notice tho
