Title: Rear wiper minor problem
Post by: workhorse '90 8v on 24 November 2003, 16:58
the rear wiper comes to rest on the wrong side on 90 8v.
is there a simple fix? switch the wires round? relay going backwards?

anyone in the know?           cheers :)

(here we go again)

Remove the cover on the tailgate - see the motor?
10mm nut, remove, activate the wiper a few times. the arm will fall off.
turn the wiper off again
place the wiper arm where you want it to lay (obviously flat across the window - see my sig below)
put the arm back on and replace the nut.
replace the cover and hey presto ;D

If his wiper is coming to rest on the wrong side, then merely repositioning the wiper arm on the spindle, will have it wiping half way across the tailgate surely?!?

nah its on a pushrod type setup the motor rotates and pushes a bar round and round which pushes another leaver left and right

It is indeed on a cantilever system and I think how to mod it has been written more times than the bible.
