Title: golf gti 1.8 20v turbo engine type?

 ??? hi
this is my first gti and im a little confused!
went to buy a set of spark plugs today only to find that there are 2 turbo engine types! my gti is a t reg 1999 model can you tell me how i can find out my engine type

yours will be the non-VVT (variable valve timing) engine, think they swopped over to the VVT late 2000. Sure someone will say if I'm wrong - new to this myself so could well be  :)

if your still not quite sure then just ask someone wiv 4-5 stars theve been here for years an will probably no!
