Title: Open up door to get to window mechanism

I have a mk3 gti and have a problem with my window mechanism and need to get inside the door, i wondered if anyone knew how to get to the system as i cant find a way of opening it up

i take it you can open the door.....

with the door open, get a screw driver and lever the cover on the door grab handle off( the handle you pull to close the door) and inside the handle there are 2 screws take them out and then you can pull the door card off by starting at the edges slowly pull the card away from the door.... also unscrew the door locking pin as you wont be able to take the card off with it on...

the card has clips which secure it to the door....

once the card it off you can then access the internals
