Title: Squeaky clutch pedal
Post by: mpgscott on 18 March 2006, 20:04
Hi,

I have had a search and have not found anything.

When i press the clutch pedal on my 1992 k reg gti 8v the pedal is very sqeaky is this the cable or does it need a spray of oil?  The clutch does feel ok any thoughts.

Also car is quite spluttery and has just had a K+N induction kit fitted could this cause the poor running?  Should i re-fit the old air box?

Thanks

I also had a similar problem with the clutch pedal (squeky and stiff). I changed the cable and this solved the problem.

I also encountered problems after installing a K&N induction kit - the engine started stalling when the clutch pedal was depressed. After removing the induction kit the engine ran fine.
