Title: Black Colour Concepts??
Post by: Golf VR6 on 18 March 2006, 18:51
Am i the only person here who has a black colour concept?  I've just read that "colour concepts came in April 1995, available in Yellow, Red, Blue or Green, with matching leather Recaro's and silver faced instruments."  If so, where did my black CC come from?  It has full black leather interior with black heated leather seats, and has the words 'colour concept' grooved into the seats.

Yeah, there were 5 colours available in the UK. I *think* you could have a 3 or 5 door, and they did 16v 3 doors too.

Look here (this site is pretty good btw...) http://www.anniversaryregister.brum.net/mk3colourconcept.htm

In Germainia, they also did Golf Estates in CC trim!!

Thanks guys, i was beginning to think that something is not 'right' about my CC Golf being black.  I know some people on here may detest what i've done but as i hated the CC badge on the black side trim outside the car, thought it was really ugly so i've changed it to a normal GTi badge.  Looks like a regular GTi now.

well if you come to sell it, make sure you put them back on - they're worth more than a normal GTI...

Bazzer you've just made me feel really stupid, i didn't realise, i've gone and peeled the CC badge off the black trim now you go and tell me they are worth more!!  sh!t!!

Daz, how much does the CC badges cost?  Gonna get some and put em' back on when i come to sell it.

On another note, how warm/hot are your front leathers on max setting?  Mines doesn't feel that hot compared to my friends 1.8T, which literally burns your ass if on max setting.

How indeed!

Ok they don't get quite that hot but they can make you quite uncomfortable. I think I need to see a doctor.

Bazzer, has your cc got rear headrests? There once was once a cc on gaybay that did.

Are you guys driving around in your Golfs with no pants on or wearing tight shorts or something???  I used to think it was because of my thick jeans, but apparently not.  How come my seats are only mildly warm, is there any way to get em' to heat up more or are my heating pads knackered?

Mines doesn't have the back head rest neither, they are very rare on the Mk3's.
