Title: lay flat rear wiper

Decided to change my hatch from the de-locked type back to the original.Got a new tailgate,who do you lay flat the wiper....???

Cheers  for any input

ps bought the  haynes restoration manuel,very good read,if not a bit anti modding!!

Lay Flat position.....

1) I switched my ignition off once the rear wiper was in the lay flat posotion.

2) I unbolted the wiper, pulled it off and then positioned it to the original upright position.

3) Put the ignition back on again (this made the wiper return to the flat position).

Inside the boothatch is a plastic cover, unclip it and the wiper parts will be exposed. i unbolted the mechanism (there is a pushrod and connector type of arrangement of the motor) and re-aligned it until the wiper was flat, i also had to unbolt the wiper and position it a bit more accurately on the outside. it was a bit trial and error but i got there in the end!
