My chattering just got increasingly worse, & the car seemed to keep getting more & more sluggish. Had it swapped under warranty, though, so even VW techs agreed.

(The rubber diaphragm inside just tears)

This is the one I've got ^^^^^, but i think you can get it cheaper elsewhere, though.

Ask for a length of silicone vaccuum hose to go with it, though, as your OE one will more than likely be brittle/cracked/holey & will be a bugger to get it to slip over that top connection piece of the Forge.

Try Awesome & VW Speed for prices.

Do you get any more chatter with the Forge one, cos I love that sound?!

Only (noticeably) get it when I've got my BMC I.K. on!

The recirc valves are not designed to "chatter", although they will make a bit more with an induction. if you want loads of noise then buy the one in the ebay link above, that will make loads of noise

Sorry what's a BMC I.K???
Don't want the normal dump valve sound, like the Bailey, cos I've had that before and am fed up with it now TBH.  Will be getting an induction kit anyway so that may help bring out the chatter.

Cheers.

Sorry mate, it's my Induction Kit. Have a look here:-

With the Forge diverter valve & OE (standard) airbox, you can only hear the chatter with the radio off..... It's the same noise as you get with a newish OE diverter valve/OE airbox.

The IK's are the part which make the 'chattering' louder, & does not turn the sound into that of a Bailey etc dump valve.

If you're local to the midlands, or are passing through one day, then you are welcome to have a listen to mine before you commit to buying anything.
