hey, congrats.......but.....
you gotta check that the window runners have been changed...or you'll lose you windows into the door one day :undecided:
also, the rear washer unplugs itself somewhere along the tube sometimes....mainly after cold weather.
u can see it by water leaking into/through the boot lid!!
if its a diesel, the cam could do with changing around 70k...dont know about petrol versions :undecided:
(can get costly)
there are a few more but mainly only niggly ones
dont let them put you off tho', great car, even if the motoring journo's arent keen
have fun

These need checking, although I have never lost a window in mine and I still got the plastic clips, keep an eye on your MAF too and check all the door switchs are working properly

Chuffed!
IIRC, the 1.8 T's cambelt is 5 yrs or 60k..... You never said which Mk4 it is, BTW!

I've never changed the window clips on mine either. I just make sure I dont wind the window fully down in one go.
The 1st cambelt change on my 1.8t was quoted as 120k!!!...double checked this at local VAG garage aswell. Got it done at 75k though just to be on the safe side. ÂÂÂ

My N/S window reg. went on the day of collection from the stealers, & then about 3 weeks later, the O/S one went. Thank God for warranties.
