 whats the best tdi to get thinking of getting one?

Depends how much money you have got.  Obviously the mk5 2.0 version is the most modern and tuneable, behind that the 1.9 PD 150 and then the PD 130.

The PD 130 is probably the best choice as the market is fairly flooded with them.

I got the 130 Gt TDi and its awesome. Economical and very quick, up till about 3000rpm. Bearing in mind the rev counter only goes up to 5000rpm's. And as for torque its amazing. I had a gti 180 before this and was dreading the loss of power but its on even par in my opinion!
