Title: removing a starter motor
Post by: MJF44 on 14 March 2006, 17:03
hello. today I have tried to remove my starter motor (1.8 20v) but after removing both bolts either side at the front it would not budge, even when coaxed with a tap from a hammer. Is there another bolt somewhere holding it on that I can't see? any advice much apreciated.

sure there 3 have another look..... if your removing to check stuff cause of the dreaded 'wwwrrrr' noise on start up u need some copper slip grease to bung on the brass bush in the gear box and to put on others in the starter if you strip it...asy job though...
