Title: Quickie
Post by: GolfGL on 14 March 2006, 14:26: Hi how many key fobs should i get with a mk4 ? and if theres a slight judder through the steering wheel when braking should i assume its a quick fix with pads and discs or something more expensive like abs or calipers?

My 1st guess with the juddering through the wheel under braking, would be warped discs.

Post by: Stu-1.8T on 14 March 2006, 22:57: I got two key's with my Turbo and a plastic key (never used this....dont really know what it's for!!) and a plastic strip with key-codes (i think) stamped on it.

Bought my wife a 2.0 and it only came with one key....replacement's around Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£125 from VW only aswell... :cry:

(Although the casings broke on the spare, & the stealers want about Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£80 for a new one, IIRC)

I've actually got another mint spare key from a totally diffferent Golf, but I'm not sure what is possible with regards to reprograming it/changing the key blade etc

You can buy spare thobs of gaybay for a fraction of the price.
My MK4 turbo has two thobs and a plastic mould with the key cut number.
