Title: Headlamp Switch

Recently had a problem with my headlights, now and again deciding not to work. Anyway as adviced by people on the forum I cleaned and checked all the earth straps, still now and again they would decide not to work. So I got an auto electrician friend to look at the wiring etc (told from him it's quite a common problem) Anyway wiring is A-ok no faults found, he's isolated it to being possibly the switch it's self out.... Now been looking for a new switch (rear fogs only) but brand new they are nearly £60, phoned a few breakers and they want near to £50  :shocked: so had a look on E-bay just now... There are two VW Vento switches, identical to the golf ones.. I know the Vento and Golf are pretty much identical, and seeing as they are at bargain price I want to make sure that these switches will fit... Part No on the switch on E-Bay is 1H5941531AH (vento No. he states) from an early vento... So will these go on straight swap?
