Title: What should I look for??
Post by: VWRobboVW on 09 March 2006, 18:02
Hey there. Have been browsing this forum for some time now but just decided to register because I need some help. This isn't to do with a golf but I thought that as you all seem very knowledgable I would ask anyway.
My problem is this, I am going to look at a corrado G60 on Friday that I am very interested in buying. The car was previously owned by a friend of mine (before the current owner). The current owner bought it roughly 6 months ago and has covered 1500 miles. When my friend had the car it was completely immaculate and had NO problems. Apparently it is even tidier now than it was then. However, my question is this. What problems could've occurred in the past 6 months and what should I be looking for?? I'm pretty new to this so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Robbo.

Ps, didn't really know where to put this so sorry if I got it wrong.

I think the milage is about 140000 but the charger was rebuilt 1500 miles ago (just before it was sold). Anything anyone else can recommend or think of?? Thnks for the quick reply btw!!

Thanks alot for all the replies. Have been very helpful.
I went to see the car today and its pretty much as perfect as it was when I last saw it. Only a little bit of rust on the boot under the rear spoiler. Engine bay is FAR cleaner than I remembered and i'm actually considering entering into the show and shine at this years inters!!
Thanks again for the help, you's were more helpful than the corrado forum!! lol

Here's one pic of it at last years inters when it was owned by my friend.
Not a great picture of it as it's not looking its best but i'll post some better ones when I pick it up next week.
It looks alot better in the 'metal' than this photo so i'll try to do it justice next week!!

I've edited your post so that the pic shows on the thread.

Does look sweet. If it's only done 1500 miles since your mate had it then I doubt ther'll be too much wrong with it. How much is he selling it for ? If you dont mind me asking.

Thanks Gibby. When I tried with pics earlier they were always too big!!
I've wanted to buy this car for ages but never had the money, so when I was told it was for sale again I was chuffed!!
It's for sale for £3500 and I decided to just agree on it instead of haggling as he's only selling it for what he paid and it's absolutely Immaculate!! Well worth the money imo. He was plannin on putting it on ebay this week for 4 grand so I bit his hand off!! lol
