Hi all
So I'm looking to understand what the interest is in from all the Mk1 golf, jetta, cab and caddy owners if you could have power steering for your mk1's.
I'm 95% come up with what could be a kit to buy, price not finalized but could be around 650-700 - maybe be cheaper that will work on any mk1 golf, jetta, cab and caddy and may also provide install service as well - but not finalized pricing on this yet either.
Just wanting to get idea of who may be interested in this?
I will have confirmation of all details soon depending on suppliers.
So all Mk1 golf, jetta, cab and caddy owners - tell me if you are interested, as the demard may push down the price and turn around of this.
(Please note guys I won't be giving away the details of which rack we will be using )
NOTE: The only other power steering provider for mk1's today wants 1100 for their kit....!!!!
thanks
Si

tbh on of the best points about the mk1 is the steering, don't get me wrong its a b!tch to park but you soon get over that! but once out on the open road it rocks! you know exactly what the wheels are doing! i think.. well for me anyway, it would spoil the whole mk1 experience!

Over the years I have seen a few enquiries about fitting power steering to mk1's. Personally, its not for me. I think its all part of the characteristics that I enjoy about the mk1.
Having said that I can understand why someone would want to fit it...........especially if I get out of the mk4 and jump straight into the mk1
