hi guys
pick up my first mk1 cab on saturday    and wanna get the interior sorted out for summer (bodywork & mechanics all bang-on courtesy of prev. owner). i defo want leather but not sure of my options.ÂÂÂ
i know mk2 fronts will go in but the backs are a different story, yes? what about audi tt seats? anyone done this or know of a link for a "how-to" or is it not possible to do? how much of a job is the mk2 rear bench (again a "how-to" would be good).
my other option is a re-trim - i'm guessing between £650 and £1300 depending what i have done and where i get it done?
finally the car is helios blue; any one got links to pics of tan leather in a car this colour? wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like.
cheers fellas

pretty much all you've said is right!! mk2 fronts easy, mk2 rears, not so easy!
a guy on here called blue has tt seats in his mk2 and he did them himself with a cheeky bit of welding. re-trim will cost what you think and helios blue/tan would look schweet! :P

agreed to all the above. another guy you might wana speak to on here is toofunkyhouse. he has black mk2 leather in his mk1 tin top. might be able to help you out if thats the way you want to go

thanks for the help chaps.
reckon i'm gonna go down the line of a re-trim, probably in tan, though not 100% yet. seems a safer option fitting-wise plus i'll be able to get the colour i want (if i can ever make my mind up!)
i'll get some pics of the car up over the weekend, for your opinions!
cheers

not sure what i want for definate as yet tbh. now i've looked about about i have seen a few with tan, so maybe it is too popular.......?
just didnt want black, cream would get too mucky?, so tan seemed the logical choice.
decisions, decisions........................ :undecided: :undecided: :undecided:
red, maybe? oh god this too hard!!!!
