Title: left rear light going on an off

my mates mk4 golf has got a problem where the light would be on but when he drives away it goes off, he said he has messed around with it and made sure the connections and everything is ok. dont think anything is wrong with the bulb, he asked me to see what u think it could be.

I had the exact same thing on mine. I cleaned the connections but that didn't help. Getting a new bulb sorted it though.

funny, my rear sidelight bulb is a bit tempermental at the moment, some times it on sometimes it off, ive not got round to having a look at it yet as its to cold to stand out there fiddling with some stupid bulb lol

I had problems with the near side break light, sometimes worked some times didnt nothing i could see wrong with the bulb but i just replaced it never had any problems since.

replaced the bulb and its sorted now, thanks :smiley:
