Hi all. Just bought my mk4 Tdi 130 in Black 5 door. Totally standard at the mo and somethings gotta be done about it! I bn looking on ebay at the conventional RS4 and RS8 wheels in 17" and 18". Ive had a golf with RS4 alloys before they looked good and the good thing is they dont look to boy racer style cos you have the VW centre cap which still gives it the standard feel. Has anyone tried 17/18" 5 spoke alloys, like Kahn's or TSW Evo's? Any pics would be great to help me make decision. As Ive just payed a load out for the car my current budget is about £250, which prob isn't going to get me anything too nice, anyone know of any bargains. Also has anyone taken out a year long finance deal on alloys, if so how did this go, what were the interest rates like if any!! Or should I keep saving. Cheers peeps- Jon

You may as well just keep on saving, & upgrade the alloys when a couple of your current tyres wear out etc.
If you can't wait, then I suggest you either buy a nice set on a credit card, & transfer the balance to a 0% card (there's loads of them which last for 9 months, too), or get a low APR 'high street' loan, as wheel places often sting you on their own finance with high APR's.

Yeah true. I havent got a credit card, dont plan to get one either, Every person I know who has one is in debt to them big time, I got enough to pay off on my loan lol!! Im thinking for around £300-£350 I can get a nice set of used ones off Ebay. Then theres the new replica ones around that mark too. Anyone know of any companies that take in your old wheels as Part-Ex? That would give me a few more options and I wouldnt have to drive round on standards for so long either.

Sensible lad! Credit is the route of all evil!
Yeah, there is 1 ebay seller who takes wheels as part ex. If you don't mind replica's, then I think you could get a set within your budget.
I was looking there myself..... M U S T R E S I S T R 3 2 R I M S !!!

Soz im slow, been doing some runs then decided to give car the Sunday wash. Not the best weather to do it but i wanted to get a good look at the paint work as i havent really had chance yet. Its really good. Two bad points is theres a scrape on the bonnet, looks like its been keyed, but i saw that before sale, then the lower valance on the front bumper is a bit rough on the edges. Apart from that its tidy. Do you know who the ebay seller is who takes part ex? Cheers mate
