Title: SEAT HELP FOR BEETLES

not sure if any body could help me I'm after some knowledge on a 1973 beetle and what seats would fit straight in to it or if its hard to find or make bucket seat mounts for it


IF ANY 1 COULD LEND ME SOME INFO I WOULD BE MOST HAPPY

beetle seats as far as i know mate, i think that most modern seats you will have to weld on to the beetle subframe.
then again i may be wrong

mk1 and mk2 golf seats will fit straight in to a 73 bug I had GTI seats in my 72

my bug (your old one tony!!) had polo seats in it for a start... that was a 73... they ARE NOT A STRAIGHT FIT as the runner channels are not as wide as modern cars... the centre rail fits fine but the legs need chopping and moving and welding. i removed the bodged polo seats and tried to fit mk2 rainbow gti trim... not a straight fit...

but hey.. if you wanna try go ahead.... nothings easy as...

polo seats were in it when i got it mate...
i actualy quite liked em.
oh well another car i should never have sold
