Title: MK4 Headunit change....Can you use the original 6 disk changer?
Post by: HandsyBoy on 03 March 2006, 15:42
If i was to change the head unit in my mk4 golf gti, can i use the original 6 disk changer with the new one, or will i have to buy a new changer and lead?

Also any recconmendation on a new unit? What is the connection on the original casset/radio head unit. ( 2001 model ).

Cheers Dan

Personally I wouldn't bother with a cd changer. Every account I've read or been told they are not great for sound qaulity and with a new mp3 unit you can get more mp3's on one cd than a 6 cd standard changer.
