The engine management light is on and to me, the turbo doesn't seem to be giving as much kick as it used to.. any ideas on what i need to change?
-
Just a guess, but I would say Boost Pressure Control Valve (N249) :)
-
Faulty MAF could be the cause too :undecided:
-
Yeh thanks for that monzablue... would never of guessed!!! was kinda hoping on bit more technical advice then that but thanks just the same
If the MAF sensor is what i think it is, ive been at it already gaz, bought one didnt make a difference!
Its the thing with two screws on the air box pipe right?! :embarassed:
-
Still having the same problems  Worrying thing is one day the engine light is on then its off for a day then its on  :undecided:
anyone got any ideas?
-
Sounds like my problem mate - I've been told it's a faulty air intake pipe. My engine management light comes on and off.
Does the power come and go on yours?
-
Yeh, i think it does a BIT :undecided: people jus say its me bein paranoid lol happened just after i got the cam belt and that changed. im trying to get my mate to look at it on the weekend, he's more into his turbos then i am
-
Lemme know what he says would ya? I've been quoted hundreds by VW to fix it. I've been discussing it on the threads but I think I'm gonna use it as an opportunity to tune mine up a bit.
God bless credit cards!

I seen your other post re turbo intake pipe fault? thought mine had the same problem, but topher put me in the right direction. Have you run diagnostic on yours?
-
Yes at VW so I know that's what the problem is. Just need to decide which is the best part to replace it with, and what else to add at the same time!
-
mine does this. the turbo isnt as strong as it was :undecided:
i did get an error code a few weeks ago about the maf sensor. I did change the dump valve and cleared the codes as that came up as an error too. Now im thinking the maf needs looking into?
