i'm wondernig about replacing the side strips with plain ones
-
they got vr6 near rear arch haven't they?
more descreet on later models i think

Fcuk off fast car, don't mess boyo in your Uno with bucket seats and 3 point harnesses!
- VR6 for short.
Yeh its where the GTI is near the rear arch, smaller and slanted more on later models that don't feature wheel arch trim.
-
My '96 has no markings on the side trim at all. All the better at the traffic light GP ;D
-
is there a flat spot near the back ?
...like how it might look if i pulled the gti badges off mine?
i thought i'd seen "plain badgeless" ones.. but wasnt sure..

you probably have seen them, a lot of people have them removed

All early Vr's have VR6 logo on trim near back wheel i.e. models with plastic arches. Later High-Line models have cl side trims and no arches or badge and are body coloured.Vw do a blanking plate to cover holes that badge fits into as there are a few badges available eg. GT and Colour Concept too. A lot of people mod the early model by using cl side trims and de arching but this is quite expensive! Hope this helps. :D
