Thanx Jedi,

I do look after it very well but a few months ago a stupid mate of mine in his CRAP UNO overtook me because I have a better car!

He then slammed his brakes because he was too fast for the roundabout and I went straight into him :'(
I was sooo pissed off as nothing happend to his CRAP UNO and he laughed at me...

Next day guees what?

SAME SPOT, SAME TIME, SAME SPEED......SOMEONE HIT HIM THE SAME WAY!
HA HA HA I HAD THE LAST LAUGH BUT MY CAR ISNT THE SAME! :'(

Bloody hell !!!!

Looks like a wicked job you did on restoration after the shunt.  S'funny I was thinking on the drive home from work this evening about insurance etc...

I have fully comp on my new golf, but I had to get a ?250 excess... Bet ya bottom dollar, if I have a smack or someone smacks me its either gonna cost me wedge or eat into my excess, or even more probable write the car off !!

Thought to myself, why the F*$K did I pay for fully comp in the first place as I only paid ?600 quid for the car and the chances of repair post prang are very low !!

Anyone else gone for fully comp on a MK2 or have you all gone TPFT ?

Paul..

Yeah took me and my dad 5 days to get it back on the road after the crash.

Full comp is the way for me :)

Still confused at the excess where I can utilise the money to build up my protected 'no claims' bonus again.

Once I have the protected no claims bonus I will go for fully comp again but I feel I should hang on until then until its maxed out :)

Just my 2 cps :)

LOL  Sounds good!  This one's got the replacement manifold aswell,  gives a good rumble when she pulls off in the morning!  I'll have to get dirty and clime underneth to have a look.  My car has a Scorpion,  it has "Scorpion" impregnated into the underside of the back box (easy to see), but this other one doesn't, so i'm not so sure...

She's out at the mo (girlfriends car), but i'll have a look sometime and let you know.  Not sure how i'll know though, unless it's got something obvious stamped on it..  Are your two exit pipes chrome and bolted/nutted at the top by the back box?

full chrome. The right exil pipe has got a nut on it only. Think the left side nut has come off.

Yep sounds like the same system.  Stick your head under the bonnet, if the manifold is rust colour it's probably standard, if its cleaner/grey metal looking you've probably got a complete system - in that case nice one! a few extra horses! ;D

I like that system. If you can find out wehat it is I would very much like to get ahold of a similar one for my 16v. The sebring one I have right now sticks out too far for my taste.
