Title: brake discs??????

this sounds really dumb but how many brake discs and pads do u ned for a 1.9 tdi se pd 100 ona 02 plate thanks

Dunno about the TDi, but my 1.8 T has a front & rear disc setup.

Front & rear pads for discs, both come as a set anyway (4 in a box - 2 for each disc)

Discs are sold seperately.

For example, for a full brake replenish, I would need 2 x 283mm discs for the front, & 2 x smaller discs for the rear, along with 1 set of front, & 1 set of rear pads. :wink:

thanks mate i think on mine its only the front that have the wear indicators so that must mean i wud need
2 x front discs 2 x rear discs
1x front pads with wear indictors
1 x rear pads

Yes, only the front N/S has the indicator, so can only tell with rears by looking.

I take it you've had the 'Check Brake Pads' sign light up the dash, then?! :grin:

If in doubt, I'd get it checked out at one of those 'free brake check' centre's, as you don't want to buy discs/pads all round, if you only need front pads, for example.

using eurocarparts.com am looking at just getting standard everything as am on a low budget and student loans company are paying!!!!

ave come up with this bearing in mind all pads and discs need changing:
