The top pic is how the car would look slammed  - thanks to Mk2_Oz for sorting that top pic out and my sig
It's going into the bodyshop soon to get the rivet holes welded and filled and some rust spots cut out on the arches and sorted, and all 4 arches are being painted, then I have some old CL spats to go on and some back to black to be done, I may also try and get some red bumper strips and replace the bottom black ones on my bumpers.

looking good there mate  i like the no plastic arches look! Like the little coach line down the middle aswell!
will look ace when its slammed a bit! Get some back to black on them bumpers aswell!

Yep hence my comment about back to black
Thanks for the kind words mate, talk about swamped with opinions

indeedy!
i always get a sore finger when black to blacking my bumpers and arches, and a bad back from bending down but is worth it when ur done!
-
I've got hold of some SEMs bumper dye, you rub down your black plastic with some sandpaper and then spray this stuff on. Hopefully try it soon
-
aye, let us know how it is, i need to do a bit of that myself fairly soon!
-
nice lookin wheels. will look a mile better on its belly but thats comin along well. keep us posted once the back to blacks done! you thought about gettin chrome for the bumpers instead of red?
-
Yeah I have thought about chrome trim bumpers a few times but I like the red surround on the front grill a lot so in 2 minds over it.
I've got some blanking plates to replace the side trim GTI badges if I did go down the chrome bumpers route
