Hey people,
Both me and the wife ar both happy campers.
I collected my new Mk 2 16v yesterday, completely and utterly standard 91 on a J, Helios Blue big bumper 89 K miles, just had the top end completely rebuilt by a VW dealer using all OE parts after the cam belt snapped, body work in pretty good shape, no dents just a few minor spots of surface rust. Years MOT, all for the bargain price of...................£650!!!!!!!!!!
I gave the wife the money for our Audi that I sold yesterday and She got a Corrado 1.8 16v, also a 91 on a J, Mars red, totally mint with 102k, just had £700 spent on a full and i mean full service, Karmann interior, beautifully kept and again completely and utterly standard.
This means that in a couple of weeks I will be selling my old 8v project car. Details to follow on that but she will be going cheap as I will need the garage back.

Sounds like you got yourself some nice cars there :)
How much was the raddo?
-
WOW !!!!! great buys m8y.
right place and right time was it??
you breaking the project or selling whole??
-
£1200 for the 'Raddo, yes indeedy!!
Looking to sell the 8v complete as she has just got an MOT put on her. As soon as I've put me replacement dizzy on and had it set up properly she will be for sale.
-
awwww, i had a home for a corrado interior..haha
-
8v is a Mk2 Golf not a Corrado. I think the wife would notice if I pinched the interior, no matter how good a home it went to!
-
ahhhhhhhh, sorry crossed wires and all, doh! :undecided:
-
No worries fella.
-
look at that, 2 bargains!!
good work mate! I too have a helios blue valver, (see my sig) although mine is a bit bent and needs fixing! good choice in colour!
-
To say we are pleased is an understatement :smug: It was a case of being in the right place at the right time, I would say it's a case of having more jam than Hartleys
As for the Blue, I agree, probably one of the nicest subtle colours, but the wifes 'Raddo does look the business in red, especially as it hasn't faded, As soon as i get time I will post some pics.
Hope you get yours sorted Neaty
Do you go to No Rice at all, we will be going soon as Fleet is only up the road from us?

No worries, as soon as I've got it up and running sweet again I will post. All I've got to do to get it running is put me replacement distributor in and get it set up.
She needs a bit of work to get her looking her best, I bought it with the intention of doing it up back to standard but just not had the time to do more than change the HG, rear calipers and pads and get it MOT'd. Actually that wasn't too bad as all it needed was a caliper, pads and a CV boot, considering it had been stood for the best part of 18months I didn't think that was too much. The interior is in pretty good shape and any spares I have I will lob in as part of the deal.

thats ok I want something to play with
