has anyone used nitrox in there fuel tank if not DO IT totaly mental stuff small bottle only a few quid well worth it livens the engine up no end and cleans fuel system (apparently!!!) 50% methenol anyone????????? ;D
-
I did use it in a Volvo 480 that i had. I thought i could notice the difference, but it wasn't huge. Worth the cash anyway as it will help clean those injectors...
-
Used to use it all the time with my previous DCOE 40'd XR2 (No Ford jokes ok - I was young ! ) ... made a massive difference, not tried it on the golf yet.
-
"massive" ? yeah it was noticable, but it wasn't exactly life changing. yeah you're right, i'll have to slurp some into the golf.....
-
My dad once accidently filled my 8v with City Diesel.
Not reccomended but it cleaned the injectors. ???
-
Yeah it was "Massive", probably says more about the condition of the engine than any raising of the octane to produce more power.
I think after a few applications it'll level off - after all any engine over 60 / 70k will have carbon and crap everywhere !
Anyone tried that Ecotek stuff for removing deposits in the engine ??

where can I pick this tuff up my engine could do with cleaning.........
-
halfords etc
-
Used to use it on my 596 Chevy F1 Stock car in my younger days... Great for short bursts but eats valves in the long run and asks for regular engine rebuilds.
Gives a giggle but you need to be prepared for the after run of maintenance :)
*smiles*

DOH !!!!
Too many vino's when reading LOL.. Sorry.. Dunno then never used the stuff before.. WE used to us Liquid Nitrous Oxide in our tanks when Stock Car Racing.. 12 drops per tank and it went like a cambodian with a luncheon voucher to the local supermarket !!! ;)
Nitrox though.. Not a clue sorry :)
-

Sure was.. I originally had a buick but it was pants.. Used it until I had the track experience and then when I gained 'blue top' changed the whole car to a Brian Smith chassis and MClaren tuned 454 bored out. Four Barelled Hollies and twin Eisenhowers as down tubes. Went like Sh!t off a teflon shovel and with the welded Jag diff mind blowing to the extremes.
Shame I wrote it off at the Bradford Internationals when I was stuffed into the centre reservation by the raining champion *shakes fist*
Marshalls intervened and split the block with CO2 and couldn't afford the re-build. Sold the lot and bought a speed boat which wrote off 6 months later in a lake near Bakewell (Derbyshire)...
Oh the joys of childhood :)
-
Yeah i used it yesterday on my 8v when i went to birmingham 1 bottle of the stuff with optimax unleaded from southampton to birmingham with 4 blokes easily 120mph with more power to go!!!!! and the exhaust note sounded more sporty then ever. I recomend it any day and the good thing is it supposed to clean the system through as well cant be bad ;D
-
Hmmmm, sounds like it's worth a go :)
-
DO IT DILLON GET TO THE NITROX!!!!! 8)

Wow! sounds like a spell of bad luck. My father was (and still is) into the big block chevies. The only big block I ever had was a Ford 390 with 427 heads, Intake and dual Holley 715cfm 4 bbls on it. I was running a lunati bracket master 2 cam and flat top TRW pistons in it with a balance low end. I put it into a 1967 Fairlane 2 door and it ran like a scalded dog. got bored wityh it and sold it to an 18 year old kid who wrote it off a week later. Wish I had the heads and induction off i now. Be worth something. :)

Jedi16V, Nice movie quote.
If it was Predator you were referring to then NICE, but slightly wrong.
He screams get to the chopper to Anna, Dillons hostige, Dillon is already dead, along with every other member of the team.
I think what youve done is mixed up..."Do it, do it now"! (This is when Arnie crawls under his boobytrap and taunts the Predator), and you've used it with "GO!!! Get to the chopper!"
HOWEVER, Nice quote, well used!

cheers mate . :D . but i think you watch to many films in too much detail . hehehehehe ;D
