hi, iv got an 85' 1300c. as soon as the ignition is turned on the dash lights come on as well as the rear number plate lights. the rheostat to dim the display operates the rear number plate lights, and when fully in one direction i can turn the ignition off, remove the key and the engine stays running. when i turn the lights onto full beam the idle speed drops. every mile or 2 the car cuts out, ignition lights come on and it wont restart 4 any given time.

iv replaced leads, plugs distributor, tic-h unit, the RAC hav tested circuits to the engine. no problems found.

im thinkin its a dodgy earth.. n e ideas welcome.
