i have lowered my 1999 gti t about 35 mm and have fitted 18's but for some reason the drive shaft rubs on the antiroll bar. i can only put this down to the bump stops being shot. has any one got any other ideas.
cheers Starry ???

C and R Enterprises do a linkage kit that moves the roll ball away from the driveshaft as its a known problem on a lowered MK4.
Give them a try.

I thought i'd heard that before.

cheers guys ill give um a ring.... :D

id check a few things out first before buying that kit, ive lowered mine, 40mm and banged 17"s on with 45 series tyres, no rubbing no matter how hard i push, you only get roll bar probs if ya go 60mm drop or more but that also pends on what set up your running

If possible put ramps under the car so the suspension s under load and get under the car, have someone bounce the car and see if you can spot where its knocking. You might be able to fabricate something to cure it or you'll at least know your gonna have to buy a linkage kit.

its definatley the drive shaft and the anti roll bar comming together. the 18's are not a prob they dont rub any where and the car has definately
only been lowered 35-40mm. the kit to move the anti roll bar is about ?70 so im looking for cheaper ideas. HELP!!!!!! :-\
