1 15" kicker comp sub in the boot
1 Kenwood mask amp

single headlamp conversion
single wiper
clear rear clusters
evo bonnet scoop
flushed doors
17" khans
all this done but car doesn't move cos i have engine trouble as stated in 'the garage' section. still need help
-
Your ice install sounds nice mate, but I'm a bit unsure of about the neons and bonnet scoop, especially on a cab.
Are you running all the amps from one battery? or did you parallel another one to it?
-
ive got a yellow top battery speacialy for the ice install, i was unsure about the neon lights and scoop but they suit the car quite well. havent got a scanner otherwise i would have put up a picture. do you know of any sites relating to engine trouble? also is that your cab? if it is its phat
-

-
Cheers for the compliment, she is mine, and I love her to bits! a little too much maybe?
Peak power is 1.414 x RMS
and RMS is peak power x 0.707
If I remember correctly
-
Thats nothing i piss on the lot of ya! ;D ;D
My ice pumps out about 10,000 watts RMS. but i suppose it doesn't count cos its in a nova?!
-
true :P
Have you had that SPL read novadose?
-
took it to southend cruise and got it done from there for ?20
-
Have we all got to guess or are you gonna tell us what it was??!!
What on earth have you got in there to give you ten killowatts of power?
-
I'm sure I dont need to remind you all that its quality not quantity that counts - 10KW may be an awesome amount of power, but if it isn't channeled properly and distributed cleanly, then a good set up with 3 or 400 watts is gonna kick its A$$ all over the car-lot, that why you can but a 1000 watt amp for ?150 but a good quality amp with 4 x 50 watts could cost you double that - its all down to component and build quality
My Complete Kenwood setup sounds great, and I wouldnt trade it for all the power on the national grid if I had to run it through goodman speakers
-
I totally agree, that's why I was curious exactly what he has in there!!
-
exactly quality not quantity!
This is what my install consists of:
Kenwood cd unit Z838W with 2X 10 disc changers
Kenwood slave unit KMD-601
Kenwood processing unit
PS2 acts as dvd also
3X Infinity front components
2X Infinity components for rear trims
2X infinity 6X9S in rear stealth shelf
3X 4.5" screens (2 in rear headrests)
2X 10,000 kicker solabarics
5 genisis amps
Kicker crossover
so wot do u think now?
goodmans my fuc*in ar*e
wot were u saying bout quality?

Did I touch a nerve there? If you read my post properly, then you cannot fail to realise this was a general statement, and not a direct snipe at you.
As for all that in a nova!!! well, I know you say you have money to burn, but then money cant buy taste - only kidding. You'd be better of putting it in your golf, at least the doors would stay on
-
doors stay on.....LOL
True about golfs, the only thing that rattles on them are the exhaust sheilds
-
What db reading did you get ?
-
192.3db
Subs are still wearing in!!!
-
192.3db ?
Are you having a laugh?
-
Is that a new world record - I'm sure the previous was closely contested at around 140-150db
-
I think the official record stands at about 162 db give or take a decibel.
Baring in mind db's are logarithmic, for every three db's you effectively double the volume.
That would make Mr (or Mrs) Novadose's stereo about 200 times louder than the current world record holder.
Impressive.
-
I havent entered it into a sound off yet just got it checked by some twit at southend, didn't beliveve it myself when he told me, gonna get it checked out properly from proffesional. wondered why everyone laughed at me when i told them! :-[
-
an increase of 30 db ( say 162 to 192) is in effect 1000 times the volume - logarithmically speaking
3 db - double volume
10 db - 10 times volume
20 db - 100 times volume
30db - 1000 times volume
WOW if you crank it up, I may be able to hear you from here!!!
I'd check the validity of your testers credentials!!
-
192.3 !
sorry i asked !
